Lanae Ridge Vineyard

A Living Place

Gem 73 begins here.

Lanae Ridge isn’t just where we grow grapes.
It’s what shaped the entire idea.

We believe that if we take care of this place and treat it with the respect it deserves, it will give something back.
Not just in the fruit, but in the experience.

Year after year.

Walk with us.

Not everything worth knowing comes from a tasting note.
Some of it lives out here—between rows, in the dirt, in the quiet.

Swipe through to explore our vineyard. Or better yet, come see it in person.

Map Winery

Tasting Room & Winery

It’s coming together. Slowly. Intentionally. The way things should.

If you want to be there when the doors open, reach out. We mean it.
We read every message.

Map Bird Deterrent Lazer System

Bird Deterrent Laser System

Respecting the land and those who call it home is our top priority.

We don’t do plastic netting. We do light.

Our lasers create movement birds don’t love—
so they move on, unharmed.

It’s simple. Care for the land, and everything living on it.

Map Owl Kestrel Boxes

Owl & Kestrel Boxes

Turns out, nature knows what it’s doing. So we made room for it.

Owls. Kestrels. Quiet hunters keeping things in balance. They live here too.

Want to meet them? We’ll make introductions.

Map Cold Air Drain

Cold Air Drain Fans

During the shoulder seasons, early spring and late fall, cold air settles. Grapes don’t like that.
So we move it along with large fans to protect the grapes.

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the most effective.

Map Phase I

Phase 1 - 2016

Out west, things stretch a little.

  1. Syrah. Tempranillo. Sangiovese.
  2. Zinfandel. Nebbiolo. Merlot. Malbec. Petite Sirah. Cabernet Sauvignon.

Different grapes. Same ground. Each row figuring out its own version of the story.

Map Phase II

Phase 2 - 2023

To the east, a different expression.

  1. Barbera. Grenache. Nebbiolo. Zinfandel. Merlot
  2. Petit Verdot. Cabernet Franc.
Map Phase III

Phase 3 - 2024

South-facing. Southwest-leaning. Light all day, just how the vines like it.

  1. Syrah. Petite Sirah.
  2. Sangiovese. Cabernet Sauvignon. Mourvèdre. Viognier.
Map Cactus Butte

Cactus Butte

Our highest point on the property with the best view in miles. Sunsets land a little better up here.

The walk from the winery isn’t long, just enough to earn the glass waiting at the top.

Map Bermuda Triangle

Our Bermuda Triangle

Every property has its mysteries. This is ours.

We call it the Bermuda Triangle. Things disappear out here. Stories mostly.

If you’re curious, we’ll tell you what we know. If you’re lucky, you’ll leave with your own version.

Stewardship & Sustainability

Rooted in the Land

Steep slopes. Sandy, chalky soils.

Not the easiest conditions, but that’s the point.

Vines have to work harder here, and that effort shows up in the glass.

We’ve spent years learning how to work with this land, not against it.

Cover crops, no-till seeding, and soil-first practices that build health over time.

What looks like challenge is where the character comes from.

Water, Used with Intention

Water is precious here, and we treat it that way.

Our drip irrigation is guided by real-time soil sensors placed deep in the ground, helping us understand not just when to water, but when to leave things alone.

Each block, each variety, is its own conversation.
We track vine stress, watch the season closely, and water only when it matters most, not on a schedule.

The goal is simple.
Encourage deeper roots. Listen to what the vines are telling us.

Use less, but use it well.

Because balance in the vine shows up later, in the glass.

We believe that if we take care of this place, it will take care of us.

In the fruit, the views, and the moments that keep bringing us back.

Letting Nature Lead

We don’t do this alone.

Owl and kestrel boxes across the vineyard invite natural predators to keep things in balance.

When intervention is needed, we do it carefully.
Early mornings. Watching the wind. Protecting pollinators.

It’s not just about sustainability.
It’s about doing things the right way.

Smart Tools, Lighter Footprint

Tradition guides how we farm.
Technology helps us do it better.

We use mechanized pre-pruning, weed control, leaf pulling, hedging, and harvesting to stay precise across every vine.

Fewer passes through the vineyard.
Less fuel. Less disruption.

More control when timing matters, and a lighter footprint overall.

Powered by the Sun

The same sun that drives ripening powers the work behind it.

Rooftop solar supplies the majority of our energy needs, supporting both vineyard and winery operations.

We also use solar-powered laser systems for bird control, replacing netting and reducing impact on the surrounding ecosystem.

Lower energy use. Fewer materials.
A more efficient system overall.

Grapes on vine

We grow 15 different grape varieties across the property.

Each one responds differently to this place, giving us room to explore what Lanae Ridge Vineyard can become in the glass.

From Soil to Glass

Everything starts in the soil.

We track soil health and vine nutrition throughout the season, using tissue and soil analysis to apply only what’s needed, when it’s needed.

Canopy management is handled block by block to balance vine vigor and crop load.

The goal is consistency in the vineyard, not correction in the winery.

Health below the surface.
Clarity in the fruit.
A cleaner path to the glass.

Vineyard Tour

We’ll show you around

We open the vineyard and cellar to anyone who’s curious.

A chance to see how it all works, ask questions, and get a closer look at what goes into each bottle.

A walk through, a few stories, and a better sense of what’s behind it all.
